The British monarch will be visiting the Kabatas High School, where local students are working with students from London’s Hackney Community College and the Haggerston School on a joint environmental science project.
Later Queen Elizabeth II and her entourage take a boat trip on the Bosphorus and the visit the British-Turkish Design Exhibition at the Istanbul Modern.
On Thursday night, the Queen will host a reception in honor of Turkish President Abdulah Gul and his wife aboard the British aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious, which is anchored in the Bosphorus before returning to Ankara.
