Turkey is dealing with several health issues, including Hamit Altintop of Bayern Munich, who is recovering from a broken foot. His possible replacement, 23-year-old
midfielder Gokhan Gonul of Fenerbahce has a swollen right foot.
Terim has chosen a squad that does not include 37-year-old Hakan Sukur, the career scoring leader for the Turkish national team (51 goals) and Turkish league (234).
