Speaking as thousands of unions stopped work across the country to protest at the reforms proposed by the government, including raising the retirement age, Unakitan said the reforms would rehabilitate todays and tomorrows conditions and leave a better Turkey to future generations.
We should not consider our matters as daily issues. We are all living in this country, and a better country is for the best interests of all of us,
he said.
Not only those in Turkey but also those who are abroad and are interested in Turkey are wondering whether the country will be able to implement these reforms; he said.
Therefore we have to fulfill this structural reform, Unakitan said.
