| | | | Turkey’s exports between the beginning of January to April 25, the last date for which figures were available, had increased by 24.2 percent in comparison to the same period last year, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said.
Over the last 12 months Turkey had earned $68.3 billion through overseas sales, the Minister said.
So far this year, the highest single contributor to exports was the ready wear sector, said Tuzmen. However, he also said that Turkey was running a foreign trade deficit of 20 percent.
