Snow continues to paralyse Istanbul
School and university students will get another day off with authorities ordering all educational facilities remain closed Tuesday.

Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport only reopened mid Monday afternoon, after flights were cancelled as of Sunday. Numerous ferry and bus services were also cancelled Monday, as municipality teams strove to clear snow and ice from the city’s roads.
School children and university students, who were due to resume classes after the mid term break Monday, have had their holiday further extended, with authorities declaring all schools will be closed until Wednesday at the earliest.
Though most main highways have been reopened, the TEM and E-5 motorways and the Bosphorus Bridge linking the Asian and European sides of Istanbul are only operating with some lanes.
