“We consider Israel’s demolishing houses of civilians in Gaza and killing of more than 30 people in its operation in Gaza an extremely dangerous development,” Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül said Thursday.
Speaking in Moscow, where he is attending a meeting of the Middle East Quartet consisting of Russia, the US, the European Union and the United Nations to discuss recent developments in Palestine, Gül said Turkey was extremely concerned about recent developments in Palestine and recent actions of Israel in the region.
“Peace cannot be provided in the region this way,” he said. “As we have been waiting for implementation of the road map, Israel’s following such a policy is unacceptable. We harshly condemn yesterday’s events in Gaza. Israel’s actions could affect the whole region,” Gül said.
