Moderate quake shakes İzmir
It is the second moderate tremor to hit Turkey’s third largest city in less than two weeks.
April 18— The western Turkish city of ‹zmir was struck by a moderate earthquake early on Friday morning, though there have been no reports of casualties or major damage.

  The quake, registering 4.8 on the Richter Scale, struck at 1:34 am, according to the Bosphorus University’s Kandilli Sesmic Observatory and Research Centre.
       The epicentre of the quake was in the Urla district of the province, with the centre of İzmir, and the Karşıyaka, Buca, Bornova and Gaziemir districts all being effected.
