Small quake in west of Turkey
The tremor was the latest in a series of moderate quakes that have struck along the Anatolian Fault Line in recent months.
April 1— A moderate earthquake, with its epicentre near town of Akyazi, 150 kilometres west of Istanbul, rattled north western Turkey Tuesday morning, though causing no casualties or damage.

  The quake, which struck at 10:51 am local time, had a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter Scale, according the Bosphorus University’s Kandilli Observatory.
       Residents of Akyazi fled their homes and schools and other buildings were briefly evacuated immediately after the quake.
